Elan Van Mills Kapiti Champion

Elan is the co-owner and operator of House of Sound music Academy a locally based music school that provides lessons to over 200 students around Kapiti and Horowhenua. Elan has also worked at Kapiti Youth Support for the last 4 years as a Youth Coach to many of Kapiti’s teenagers and young adults.

Through my experiences at KYS I have seen that violence in the home can still be seen as “just the way things are” and therefore normalized and passed on to future generations. I feel it is important to stand up for a violence free community that promotes conversation and education as the way forward.
