Setting up a Neighbourhood Support Group in your Street
- Contact the Neighbourhood Support Kapiti Coordinator to check that there is not already a Neighbourhood Support group set up in your street. (ph: 0800 502 066 or susan@ask.kiwi)
- Identify the area that you would like as part of your group (on average 15 households are in each group - but you can have a smaller or larger number depending on what will work for you)
- Invite people to join Neighbourhood Support by doing a letterbox drop or going door to door (you may be able to get someone else in your street to help you with this). Your Neighbourhood Support Coordinator can provide you with Neighbourhood Support flyers and print copies of the invite letter for households or you can download them below.
- Collect names and contact details of the households that want to join the group and note on the 'Contact List' form.
- Register as a Neighbourhood Support Group by completing the NSK Registration Form. Each household will be provided with a Neighbourhood Support folder, stickers and other resources and a Neighbourhood Support street sign will be organised.
- You may like to hold a set up meeting to get group members together and discuss what your group would like to do as part of Neighbourhood Support.
